Greetings from the president of Korean Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases on web homepage.

The Korean Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (KSPID) was founded in 1993 as the Korean Pediatric Infectious Diseases Research Association for the purpose of research development, research, information exchange, and friendship among members on infectious diseases and immunizations in children and adolescents. It was officially launched, and in 2013, the name of the society was changed to ¡°Korean Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases¡±. Since 2008, KSPID has been consolidating expertise in pediatric subspecialty board of infectious diseases. KSPID has shared the latest knowledge on research related to infectious diseases and vaccinations in children and adolescents through journal publications, academic conferences, and international academic exchanges. KSPID has been actively participating in national policymaking such as the infectious diseases management, development of guidelines for the use of antibiotics, and immunization policy development. In recent years, KSPID has provided professional role in the management and countermeasures of new infectious diseases, and their importance is growing, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

KSPID shares the latest research results and information with members through journal publication (3 times a year), academic conferences (2 times a year), regular training lectures (2 times a year), international academic exchanges, and monthly training education. We hope that you will visit us often and actively visit us for the updates.

KSPID is a professional academic organization built on the basis of close cooperation and dedicated efforts among colleagues from various background. KSPID aims to lead research, treatment, and

policymaking on infectious diseases and immunizations for children and adolescents in Korea. We look forward to the warm interest, affectionate advice, and active participation of our members and new members, and we hope that you will continue to support KSPID.
